Ultimately, working with digital is a lot better. I've still got a TASCAM 244 somewhere that I mean to get round to fixing, but I don't actually want to use it!

ITB, but I was selling pro audio in the 1980s and grew up with the analogue gear. I know most younger musicians have always been ITB and most profi engineers/producers have moved over to ITB (even mixing on headphones!!) but for old timers like me it's hard.or is it? I'm undecided whether to go back to the old setup or bite the bullet and move ITB. Sonically this is a better setup but I'm missing the 25 motor faders and my workflow has changed. I've had to downsize my music room and I've replaced the mixing desk with an old focusrite scarlett and a presonus faderport 8. So basically an audio interface, DAW controller, Soundcard all in one, but of course the footprint is big, which is becoming a problem.

My current rig is a laptop connected to a Presonus Studiolive series 3 with a 64圆4 USB interface built in, and also acts as a DAW controller. Nowadays of course you don't need a tape machine or mixing desk, but I prefer the workflow and being hands on. The reason I'm asking is that I first started recording in the late 80s on tascam portastudios and then moved to a mackie 32:8 and ADATs. Do you still use a mixing desk or are you completely "in the box"?. Never had this happen before with Mixbus5.A question for those forum members that record music on their PC. I have no idea if I can work around this but will experiment some more. Even more odd is that the Mixbus project audio settings show it using Asio4All. Yet if I connect my Zoom L-20 mixer which is set to 48khz Mixbus 6 will start up and open the project ok more than one time. What is really odd is that Mixbus6 will not start a second time with Asio4All. I use Asio4All to play around with which I used to setup a test project in Mixbus6 - I always use 48khz I think this may well be the problem so will play around some more. It starts OK with a fresh install, you configure the samplerate and buffersizes that get written to a config file, and somehow when the program is restarted, the system (non-ASIO) settings clashed with the ASIO settings.įWIW.one never knows. Thanks for this.

In my case, if the Windows SYSTEM sample rate was not the same as the one I set for the ASIO samplerate in the software project, AND you are using the same audio interface for both, the application did exactly what you describe. I'm just running the built in Windows AV. (KB4549951 as of ) but still the same thing. I have even risked installing the latest Windows updates on the laptop. I usually see mixbus.exe running in task manager (not always though). If Mixbus starts up ok in demo mode and I close/save and try to start MB again then after the demo splash screen nothing displays on screen.

It is odd that it will not run on either system.

#MIXBUS 32C DEMO WINDOWS 10#

I cannot reliably run the Mixbus v6 or 32c-6 demo programs (Mixbus6.0.697) on my windows 10 systems - HP laptop or Acer Desktop. Ive tried Harrison support but they are not able to help with this so I'm wondering if any Windows 10 experts might be able to suggest anything?
